Adriana Andrade, a painter and printmaker from Guadalajara, graduated from UAG with a degree in Visual Arts. She was a student of the master artist Gustavo Aranguren.
She won first prize in Visual Arts Latin America, with her work featured on the poster for International Women's Day in Mexico City in 2003. For over 30 years, she has taught workshops and courses in advanced painting and printmaking techniques.
With over twenty solo exhibitions and countless group shows, her work has been exhibited in Mexico as well as Austria, Japan, USA, Canada, Colombia, and Ecuador.
Her work has been an aspiration to understand the world, an expression in trying to represent it, and above all, a study of real and subjective manifestations translated into stains, strokes, brushwork, and color.
