I am Ámbar Navarro, a multidisciplinary plastic artist. My works are situated in figurative art, expressionism, and surrealism. Through painting, charcoal drawing, and ceramics, I express ideas that mostly delve into intimacy, emotional states, the symbolic, and the mystical. Nature becomes part of my works. I am interested in fusing human qualities and gestures with botanical or organic elements, transforming them into a reflection of internal experiences and emotions.

I am interested in capturing beauty in shadows and attention to detail, focusing on the drama of chiaroscuro. My process ranges from the gestural stroke of charcoal pencil, where I use deep shadows and very marked contrasts of light, to working with intense and textured color palettes.

Each work tells a story and contains symbolism, small latent stories, created to validate complex or uncomfortable emotions with which people can identify in one way or another.
