La Josa
I am La Josa, a visual artist originally from Ensenada, Baja California, and currently living in Guadalajara, Jalisco. My background in graphic design, along with my painting studies, has allowed me to develop my own language focused on oil on canvas, where I explore the symbolic through a surrealist aesthetic.
My work stems from the need to transform memory into image and feeling into a visual language. I create scenarios where the everyday intertwines with the dreamlike: fish floating in improbable spaces, objects that evoke dreams, and atmospheres filled with nostalgia and hope.
