Luisa Wong
I trained as a plastic artist at the University of Guadalajara. I am passionate about watercolor painting due to its organic nature, which makes it my primary technique. However, my practice is not limited to it.
In my work, I seek to reinterpret death through the representation of its physical process; the decomposition and skeletonization of bodies, as well as the representation of their internal anatomy—that which is not visible to the naked eye. This questions not only the fragility of biological matter but also the temporality of living beings.
Above all, my interest lies in questioning the connection between humans and nature, recognizing their similarities and looking beyond what we assume to be obvious.
