In this piece, inspired by Mexica culture, specifically the Mictlan. Here you can see a young warrior, with scars on his face after having crossed the sixth world. The Timiminaloayan, the place where people are shot with arrows. They had to travel a long path where arrows riddled the corpses, and for this reason, our warrior shows his face with marks of honor since he has managed to cross it. I wanted to create this piece in honor of Mexica culture. I felt the need to express in thread this valuable mythology, which few know, which is great and mystical.

This piece is made of threads of different textures and colors. Even experimenting and playing with rhinestones such as seed beads, bugle beads, and larger seed beads. Since threads cannot be mixed as paints would, this is where different tones and textures come in to create the desired effects.

On the back, a peaceful, almost smiling face can be glimpsed. Our warrior has achieved his goal of crossing the Mictlan, and now his soul seems to rest eternally. The threads reveal another face, a more bare and tranquil one.
