In this work, inspired by Mexica culture, specifically the Mictlan. Here you can see a young warrior, with scars on his face after having crossed the sixth world. Timiminaloayan, the place where people are shot with arrows. They had to travel a long path where arrows riddled corpses, and for that reason, our warrior proudly displays his marked face, having successfully crossed it. I wanted to create this work in honor of Mexica culture. I felt the need to express in thread this valuable mythology, which few know, that is grand and mystical.

This work is made of threads of different textures and colors. Even experimenting and playing with beads such as seed beads, bugle beads, and larger beads. Since threads cannot be blended like paints, this is where different tones and textures come in to create the desired effects.

On the back, a serene, almost smiling face can be glimpsed. Our warrior has achieved his goal of crossing Mictlan, and now his soul seems to rest eternally. The threads reveal another face, one more stark and tranquil.
