Sculptural assembly with reclaimed wood.
44 x 36 CM
This piece belongs to the "Stories" series, an exercise in introspection where wood ceases to be material and becomes language. Through the assembly of various species, each with its own hardness, grain, and origin, a relief is constructed that plays with light and shadow.
The composition is not random; it is a dialogue between geometric precision and organic warmth. The carved patterns and contrasting textures invite the viewer to a tactile-visual exploration, representing the accumulation of experiences that, although fragmented, achieve a harmonious balance within the frame.
It is a work that celebrates the resilience of reclaimed material and the sophistication of contemporary design.
Story of one of the fragments
One of these elements was a CNC milling test on walnut. A file on the computer. A high-precision machine. A correct execution. And yet, insufficient. It was discarded before fulfilling its purpose. The reason: not achieving the expected result. It became a remnant. Today, accompanied by other fragments with different stories, it reclaims its place. Its value was not in what it was supposed to be, but in what it already was. Here, finally, it is definitive.
