Taken from a group exhibition called “Lotería gráfica” held in February 2026.
In this work I wanted to allude to one of the art movements that inspires me the most; surrealism.
Hands and I have had a complex relationship throughout my career as an artist, I love them, but capturing them is difficult for me, sometimes I feel that, to convey something with them, I must lean towards maximalism, with this work I tried just the opposite.
I wanted to portray the hand not just as a hand but as a spectator, with elements that would add even more to a narrative of a hand as something more divine, incomprehensible, confusing.
