It was born for a final assignment in my watercolor class. I knew I wanted to do something big and full of color, which is why I thought of macaws. Due to the properties of watercolor, it's difficult for a color to appear bright; watercolor tends to be transparent, perfect for glazes. So, I opted to paint something that is already bright and striking in itself. Since childhood, I've always had great admiration for macaws. I am in love with their colors; they are designed to attract attention, so I couldn't go wrong. I remember asking my mom for a macaw as a pet a long time ago, and now I understand why she refused. They belong to another world, and so, this is a tribute.
